The Bible Story of Jesus’ Miracles

The Gospels tell many stories about the miracles of Jesus. These miracles were not only amazing events. They also showed who Jesus is and invited people to believe in Him.

At a wedding in Cana, Jesus performed His first recorded miracle by turning water into wine. When the hosts ran out of wine, Jesus told the servants to fill jars with water. Then the water became wine. This miracle showed Jesus’ power and revealed His glory.

Another time, Jesus and His disciples were crossing the lake when a fierce storm came up. The disciples were frightened, but Jesus spoke and calmed the storm. The wind and waves obeyed Him, and the disciples were amazed.

Jesus also fed a huge crowd with just a small lunch. In the story of feeding the 5000, Jesus used five loaves and two fish to provide food for thousands of people. This miracle showed His compassion and His ability to provide more than enough.

In another miracle, Jesus walked on water to reach His disciples during the night. The disciples were in a boat on the lake, and Jesus came to them walking on the water. This miracle reminded them that Jesus had power even over the sea.

The Bible says:

“But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God.”
John 20:31

These miracle stories help children understand that Jesus is powerful, compassionate, and worthy of trust. His miracles point us to the truth that He is the Son of God.
