The Bible Story of Jesus’ Healing Miracles
As Jesus traveled from town to town, large crowds followed Him. People came to hear Him teach, to see His miracles, and to bring to Him those who were sick or suffering.
Jesus healed many different people.
In one story, Jesus healed a blind man. The man could not see, but Jesus restored his sight. This miracle showed that Jesus had power over sickness and that He cared deeply for those who were suffering.
In another story, some men brought their paralyzed friend to Jesus. Because the crowd was so large, they could not get through the door. So they lowered the man down to Jesus on his mat. Jesus saw their faith, forgave the man’s sins, and healed him so that he could get up and walk.
Jesus also healed a man with leprosy. In Bible times, people with leprosy were often kept apart from others. When the man came to Jesus and asked to be made clean, Jesus did not turn away. He reached out, touched him, and healed him.
Another healing miracle took place at the pool of Bethesda. There Jesus met a man who had been unable to walk for many years. Jesus told him to get up, pick up his mat, and walk. The man was healed immediately.
The Gospels tell us that Jesus healed many people, not just a few.
The Bible says:
“And laying his hands on each one, he healed them.”
— Luke 4:40
These healing miracles remind children that Jesus is compassionate and powerful. He saw people’s pain, cared about their needs, and responded with mercy.
They also help children understand that people came to Jesus in faith. Some asked for healing for themselves, and others brought friends or family members who needed help.
Through these stories, children can learn that Jesus notices those who are hurting and that He has power to heal, help, and restore.
Jesus Heals the Blind Man Craft
The Jesus Heals the Blind Man Craft helps children remember one of Jesus’ miracles of restoring sight.
Children can color and assemble the interactive craft to show the change from blindness to seeing. This simple visual helps children understand the miracle in a memorable way.
This story reminds children that Jesus saw the needs of people others may have overlooked. The healing also points to a deeper truth found throughout the Gospels: Jesus brings light where there was darkness.
For younger children, the main focus can simply be that Jesus healed a man who could not see.

Jesus Heals the Paralytic Craft

Children can color and assemble the scene showing Jesus healing the paralyzed man. The craft provides a helpful visual for retelling how the man’s friends brought him to Jesus because they believed He could help.
This story is especially meaningful because it highlights both Jesus’ healing power and the faith of the people who brought their friend to Him.
It also gives teachers and parents an opportunity to talk about helping others come to Jesus and caring for people who are in need.

Children can color and assemble the scene showing Jesus reaching out to heal the man. This craft helps children picture an important part of the story: Jesus was willing to touch and help someone others avoided.
The miracle shows not only Jesus’ power but also His mercy. He cared for the man as a person, not just as a problem to solve.
This story can be used to teach children about compassion, kindness, and the way Jesus welcomed those who were hurting or left out.
Best for: Preschool, kindergarten, and elementary children

Bible passage: Mark 1:40–45

The Healing the Paralytic at Bethesda Craft tells the story of the man Jesus met at the pool of Bethesda.
Children can use this printable activity to retell the story step by step. The craft helps them remember that the man had been unable to walk for many years before Jesus healed him.
Jesus asked the man if he wanted to get well and then told him to get up, pick up his mat, and walk. Right away, the man was healed.
This story reminds children that Jesus knew exactly what the man needed. It also shows that Jesus’ healing power was immediate and complete.
